16-pIva RadivojevicMar 22, 2011

Three BFC members will be showing work at DCTV's event on Friday evening - Eric, Iva & Ezra. Come check us out! Info below.

Featuring a collection of night-themed short films from our members in an array of genres, we'll meet a heartbroken puppet (Unstrung), a busy Las Vegas stomping ground (Little White Wedding Chapel), and a gritty 80s New York accompanied by an early Vincent Gallo score (Camouflage).

The best film will win the new iPod Touch from The L Magazine. And with beer lovingly provided by our friends at Brooklyn Brewery, we'll have an Open Bar from 7 – 7:30pm, and drink specials all night!

An awesome evening to come together and support the work of emerging filmmakers!

Silent Auction And Silent Film For The Earthquake And Tsunami Relief

Begonia Colomar has been invited to participate in this great event. Please come out and support! http://www.graphiteny.com/wordpress/

In response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, graphite. will be holding a silent auction and film screening on March 31st, 2011. We would like to thank the many artists who have generously donated their work to be a part of this event.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to a non-profit organization, JHelp (http://jhelp.com), which is dedicated to helping earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. Currently they are working to bring food, clothing, blankets, water, etc. to the people in the Tohoku region where the tsunami hit hardest. They have been granted special permission to use restricted roads for transporting goods, and they are the only non-governmental non-profit organization with a 24hr/7day emergency assistance. We are close with the organizers, and are confident that our donation will be put to good use. The recovery and mourning in Japan has just begun. The crisis could get even worse, depending on what happens next at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Now, more than ever, the Japanese people need our help and support to get through this crisis. Please come and join us for a fun night and a good cause.

BFC Launches its brand new site!

We're really psyched to be kicking off a new web experience for all our followers, in NYC and beyond. For now, you'll notice kinks, random gibberish, and lots of fake members named "Test" while we work out the kinks on our new website. But the good news is the new BFC site will have so much more info, content, videos, and updates for you to explore. Bear with us!
