Joylynn Holder is a filmmaker living in Brooklyn, NY. She has produced and directed independent films and multimedia. Her international work ranges from documentary (in Australia she filmed Aboriginal women leaving prison) to multimedia (in South Africa she produced slideshows about modern Cape Town girls.) Joylynn studied theology and fine arts at Georgetown. She has a graduate degree in women's studies. She enjoys telling good stories and recording the quotidian details of extraordinary lives. Now that she has returned to the US, Joylynn is happily at work on a food film. And while she is trying to maintain her international perspective, the allure of American breakfast cereals is just too great. She fears she may never leave again.
