Alexander Mallis
Alexander Ramírez-Mallis is a filmmaker living and working out of Brooklyn, NY. His short documentary, The Dentist, was selected to play at the 2011 Independent Film Festival of Boston. His collaborative short, Matthew 24:12 won best film and best directing at the 2011 International Doc Challenge at Hot Docs in Toronto. Alex is an avid photographer and greatly enjoys the darkroom. He is currently working on a verite-style documentary about dumpster diving at Trader Joe's in Brooklyn. Alex is an MFA candidate for Integrated Media Arts at Hunter College (CUNY).
